Helping Individuals with Autism and Their Families Today

Autism Speaks' Family Services department is dedicated to empowering individuals and families impacted by autism. We help families maximize their child's developmental potential and improve their quality of life. We promote and advocate for best practices in treatment, education and all services—from early intervention to adult care.

Family Services provides resources and information. If you have a question, contact the Autism Response Team today. If you're concerned that your child may be affected with autism or if you've received a diagnosis, browse the Tools for Families section, where you'll find our 100 Day Kit, and the Autism Video Glossary. If you'd like to do a quick search for service providers near you, select Find a Local Resource and browse the Resource Guide.

If you're interested in getting involved in Autism Speaks clinical programs or research studies, visit Participate in Research. To learn more about how we support community-based organizations, view our Community Grants page. We are currently providing legal support for qualified families whose Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEIA) has reached the federal appeal level. For details or to see if you may qualify, go to Federal Legal Appeal Project.

While we support families today, the Family Services Committee continues to work on future projects that will broaden and extend support for all individuals with autism and their families.
